Touchdown Of The Century of the Day: Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson somersaults into the history books with one of the most magnificent plays in sports history.
(Alt: It’s a touchdown with a built-in celebration.)
Since I started watching football at four years old I have always wanted to see this happen. I would have never guessed back then that a Bengal would be the one to do it but now it totally makes sense.
So Dallas and Arizona are now in overtime.
And I can’t watch the game. WHY OH WHY didn’t I get Sunday Ticket?
Anyway at least this Packers and Giants game is good.
They try harder than any team in the NFL to lose games that they should win.
It’s extraordinary, really.
Play of the Day: Red Bank Catholic Caseys running back Christopher Donald scores the game-winning touchdown against Neptune with a barrel roll into the end zone.
Football as performance art.
My buddy just sent me this.
*bursts into tears*
It’s so true!!!
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???
This Looks Shopped of the Day: Accompanying Touré’s controversial ESPN magazine article “What if Michael Vick were white?” (a title he didn’t pick) is an equally controversial photo illustration by D’arcy Hyde that nearly rivals a certain Korean comic strip in its creepiness.
The controversial shopjob was initially removed, allegedly in response to complaints, but was soon restored.
For what it’s worth, Touré doesn’t like it either. “I had no idea they’d put a pic of Vick in whiteface,” he tweeted. “Makes no sense w an essay saying it’s impossible to re-imagine him as white?”
Very good article about race in the NFL.
The Deion Sanders football fairy just told me that NFL Sunday Ticket is included when you buy DirecTV.
If you already have DirecTV do you get it this season?? Anyone know?
What a great experience for those kids!
Hahahaha so freaking crazy.
Crazyass Japanese Thing of the Day: A Japanese soccer team takes on its toughest opponent yet: 100 kids.
I didn’t think this would end that way. Though I suppose I should have guessed…
