In particular, this one aspect of falling in love in which their presence is euphoric to you.
You can lay in bed for days on end, being absolutely nothing but with one another.
You have seen a curve never so beautiful as the one around her cheek to the tiny corner of her bottom lip that tucks its way back into a mini dimple when she smiles. You can see this curve and nothing else, and not just because you are pressing your face as close to hers as you can while still able to see it, but also because of the simple fact that nothing else exists.
If you died and went to Heaven at just such a time, you would not leave. Heaven would make its way down to you to match the feeling of glory so perfected by His very hand in this moment.
You find her hair in your bed sheets when you wake up the next morning and you experience a fraction of the bliss insomuch as the strand of hair is a fraction of her beauty.
You attempt to will the clock backward and to push the Sun back East as it raises with the energy of such powerful emotion, but alas cannot realize it.
It’s too difficult to put into words. But this is my favorite feeling, when it occurs. And most coveted feeling when it does not.
And I can’t watch the game. WHY OH WHY didn’t I get Sunday Ticket?
Anyway at least this Packers and Giants game is good.
They try harder than any team in the NFL to lose games that they should win.
It’s extraordinary, really.
