JORDAN SPIZIKE “BORDEAUX”

Spike Lee teased the public recently by gifting a pair of his new Jordans to the President himself, and after tweeting about this present to Obama defended the shoes’ eccentric colorway against haters on Twitter with the simple reply, “Lady, you are blind. These Spizike’s be cray.”

Despite how funny Mars Blackmon may be when promoting his Nike products, the director and philanthropist may be in over his head with these shoes and their polarizing response. Some comments I have read so far say things like, “inspired by a play-doh container,” and “I’m just surprised Spike has produced something white.

Whatever way you slice it, these shoes are drawing massive amounts of attention. And unlike some of the other over-the-top, flashy kicks put out by the large brands to break necks, I think these Js have the perfect amount of pizzazz in the detail work amidst the relatively basic upper of understated Neutral Gray, some black, and a bit of cement/element.

Now that you know these shoes are $175 and releasing on February 4th, would you cop or would you mock those who do (because it seems like these are your only two options)?

I think these are completely dope. I don’t care what Twitter says.
